With Odoo 19, the Odoo's CEO, Fabien Pinckaers, introduces a new era for the platform, one where artificial intelligence is not just a trend, but a practical tool built directly into core workflows. From task automation to intelligent email writing and data enrichment, AI in Odoo is designed to solve real business problems.
As Fabien explains, Odoo’s approach isn’t about chasing hype, it’s about focusing on where users lose time and simplifying those moments without adding complexity.
Let’s take a closer look at the AI features Fabien Pinckaers highlighted on social media.
Note: It is expected that the Odoo 19 AI features will be available in both the Community and Enterprise editions
1. Assign tasks automatically with prompts
One of the most exciting updates is the ability to assign tasks automatically using prompts within the Automated Actions feature. In just a few clicks, users can now create a new automation → select “Update record” → and choose “Update with AI.” Then, by writing a simple prompt like:
“Assign the task Display Name to one of these users: Mitchell Donovan (Product Owner - Accounting) or Marc Demo (Sales & CRM expert)”
—Odoo will intelligently assign the task based on context. No coding required—just natural language.

2. AI driven field enrichment
Odoo Studio now supports AI-enriched fields. By enabling the AI checkbox on any field, users can define a prompt that allows Odoo to fill in the data automatically. For instance, for a company’s industry field, the prompt could be:
“Based on your knowledge, what’s the industry of the company [Company Name]?”
The system will then deduce and populate the field using available data. This minimizes manual input and ensures consistent data quality, especially in lead or contact management.

3. Contextual Email completion
Sales and CRM users will love the new AI assistant for email writing.
By clicking a simple AI icon, users can ask for a draft follow-up message that leverages the full context of previous conversations and lead data.
Whether it’s generating a new message or rewriting a selected sentence, the AI understands and adapts tone, structure, and content accordingly—turning tedious messaging into a quick, guided task.

4. Custom AI agents trained on your documentations.
With the new AI app, companies can create internal or client-facing agents trained on company-specific documents.
Want a compliance assistant? Upload your internal policies and assign prompts so the AI agent behaves like you want him to and can answer employee queries in real time.
Simply press Ctrl + k in any app to search and summon the assistant and get instant answers grounded in your uploaded materials.
You can even choose your preferred LLM, like GPT-4 or Gemini for now.
Example
Here is an example of a legal agent that gives compliance advices to Odoo users using company's policies and with an action to book a meeting with the legal expert.
5. Predictive lead scoring
Finally, AI in Odoo 19 brings intelligence to forecasting.
The new lead scoring tool evaluates prospects using historical data to estimate the probability of closing a deal.
Each lead now displays an AI-generated probability with an explainer icon—click it, and you’ll see exactly how the percentage was calculated based on past wins and behaviors.
Here is how Fabien illustrates it
Conclusion
With these five standout features, Odoo 19 redefines what ERP automation looks like. AI is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s now seamlessly embedded into task management, data enrichment, communication, support, and forecasting. Fabien’s demos don’t just showcase functionality—they signal a shift in how businesses of all sizes will operate: faster, smarter, and with less friction.
